Ashanti Lambic is the little sister of the beer made for Zwanze 2022, the Gorilla Pepper Lambic.

Same recipe, same pepper but slightly more focused on the Lambic side compared to the first blend.

The spicy, fruity and obviously peppery side is still very present and harmonizes superbly with the natural power of the Cantillon Lambic.

The beer's name comes from one of the many names for this type of pepper, Ashanti pepper. This pepper grows wild in the forests of the Republic of the Congo. Aromatic, but not too spicy.

Pepper was traded at the time by the inhabitants of the neighboring country, the Ashanti Kingdom.
