The Story

Cuvee Jeune Homme is an oak-aged bitter beer. Before going into barrel, the beer had a slight citrus-bitterness from the combinaton of 4 hops and subsequent dry hopping. After spending 4 months in oak the result is a daring bitter-sour combination with a delightful mellowness from the wood.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, hops, yeast. Re-fermented in bottle

De Leite are a modern brewery, by Belgian standards, based in Oostkamp (just south fo Bruges in the Flanders region). The brewery was founded by beer enthusiast Luc Vermeersch opened its doors to commercial brewing in 2008. Luc had been homebrewing and gaining breewing qualifications for over ten years prior to this so already had a clear vision for De Leite, and within just a few years was able to expand and achieve the goal if being able to produce Cuvee style sour beers aged in oak.
