The Story

Ciliegiolo, Grenache and Carignano from Toscana, Italy.

Exuberant • vibrant • Mediterranean fruit • herbaceous.

Named for its origin, this wine is a joyous and vibrant red blend, showcasing Mediterranean fruits and herbaceous notes on the nose. It offers a fleshy texture with sunny fruit, making it an ideal red for light chilling and easy drinking. Grapes are hand-harvested and undergo a short ten-day maceration, with fermentation and ageing taking place in concrete tanks to maintain its freshness and purity of fruit.

Antonio Camillo, a lifelong cellar master and vineyard tender in Maremma, began his own project in 2006, focusing on the region’s indigenous and often overlooked grape varieties. He works almost exclusively with old vines, aged between 40 and 50 years, cultivating them using traditional methods with minimal intervention to avoid stressing the plants. His dedication to organic farming and a hands-off approach allows the unique character of these old-vine, coastal-influenced Tuscan grapes to truly shine.
