The Story

Cuvee Soeur'lse is a refashioned aged cherry version of the delicious Belgian Triple, Enfant Terriple. The beer is rested for 6 months on 250g of sour cherries per litre beer, and during that time the soft natural souring can begin. A portion of the beer is also transferred to oak wine barrels for a year, which when blended back, results in a lovely complex and deep flavoured cherry cuvee with soft woody characteristics.

Ingredients: water, barley malt (gluten), wheat malt (gluten), oats (gluten), rice, hops, yeast, herbs, cherries, sugar

De Leite are a modern brewery, by Belgian standards, based in Oostkamp (just south fo Bruges in the Flanders region). The brewery was founded by beer enthusiast Luc Vermeersch opened its doors to commercial brewing in 2008. Luc had been homebrewing and gaining breewing qualifications for over ten years prior to this so already had a clear vision for De Leite, and within just a few years was able to expand and achieve the goal if being able to produce Cuvee style sour beers aged in oak.
