The Story
This refreshing blend of Chardonnay and Riesling hails from the southern hills of Moldova.
Bright • citrus • zesty • playful
A super drinkable expression of this unlikely blend. The creamy richness of the Chardonnay perfectly complements the zesty, high-toned acidity of the Riesling, resulting in a wine that is both elegant and lively. The grapes are direct-pressed and aged in stainless steel, with a low-intervention approach that allows the pure fruit character and terroir to shine.
The wine is produced by Chateau Cristi, a family-owned vineyard located in a designated ecological zone in southern Moldova, one of the world's oldest winemaking regions. Owners Constantin and his brother-in-law Roman embrace a low-intervention philosophy, believing their wines should be a raw representation of the climate and terroir. The name 'Jumi Juma' roughly translates to 'let's go halves,' a tribute to the spirit of sharing that is central to their community and their winemaking approach. The harvest is a collective effort, with locals and expert winemakers coming together in a tradition that has remained unchanged for millennia
